Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed that one of her characters, Hogwarts school headmaster Albus Dumbledore, is gay.
A spokesman for gay rights group Stonewall added: "It's great that JK has said this. It shows that there's no limit to what gay and lesbian people can do, even being a wizard headmaster."
I've been helping campaign with a local politician here named David Oh. The campaign has been going well, and he is leading in the polls as of right now. Anyways, check out this recent video on youtube regarding a labor parade David marched in. See if you can pick me out of the video... I have a huge part : )
Sorry it's been a little while since we last posted. Things are well here in Philly. Jobs are going well. We work a lot, but don't most Americans? We're still prodding Dave Lester and Jen and Chase Dillingham to get there butts out here to join the effort. God and I are close so I know this is what he wants. I have been helping out with a local campaign here in Philly for the city council. The candidate's name is David Oh, and he is really a legit guy in a very corrupt political landscape. So, I would ask for you to get the vote out, but 99.9% of you reading this aren't from Philly. But, that .01% may make the difference.
The church plant is moving along, albeit a little slowly. We are realizing just how neighborhood style Philly is, and what that is meaning is that until we buy a house, it's tough to canvas. However, we are making some very good connections at work where our co-workers know we are Christians. We have been challenging each other to shine like stars by not complaining and doing tasks with gladness and joy. There doesn't seem to be anything better to show others that you are different. Continue to pray for us and our ministry here in the city of brotherly love.
Ruth and I finally broke down and bought the car we've been drooling over for the last 6 years. Now, it's not brand new, but new to us, and that's what's important.
Philly is going well. Work is going well. We are getting used to running stop signs, ignoring honking horns, being very open with complete strangers, and calling the beach the "shore." We are also making a lot of new relationships. Pray that God reveals their need for Him and uses us in the process.
